I get it, but I personally don’t like it. Citing hard work and effort the Jackets have re-signed Jarad Boll by giving him a 2 year contract. Honestly I thought last year that he sometimes looked lost on the ice. Many games playing about 10 minutes and drawing penalties for fighting rather than playing hockey he was a non-factor to the Blue Jackets.

With the Blue Jackets trying to change the teams character perhaps he is a better influence “in the room” than on the ice. He certainly did not distinguish himself playing hockey. In the annals of changing [and we certainly expect improving] the Blue Jackets, I just don’t see how this move fits into the reshaping plan.  In the minor leagues he did show he could score. Perhaps the Blue Jackets are going to convert him from being a thug to a hockey player again, I certainly hope so.
