  • What is this???   – Marc Methot is too injured to play for the Blue jackets, but in the same week the season is over, it is announced that he will be playing in the World Championships.  Makes you wonder why he could not play for Columbus, [I know,  he was still rehabbing]  and maybe if this is to provide a showcase to show he can play hockey, prior to any trade possibilities.
  • Will Weber and Jake Hansen played their professional debuts Friday night with Springfield. Boone Jenner also played his 6th game for the Falcons. So Columbus is getting a quick look at 3 new players under contract after their “this year’s” commitments have ended. Update: Sat nite, Boone Jenner got his first professional goal and was assisted by Jake Hanson.
  • M Arace, writer for the Dispatch, continues to grind out his own agenda. To quote relative to the head coaching position,”I supported Dineen’s candidacy here two years ago. I remain a fan, especially after hearing him on NHL commissioner Gary Bettman’s satellite-radio show on Thursday.”
  • Aaron Portzline has a pretty good summary of where the Blue jackets are at for the summer. His lead is “hat trick” and the column is in the links, but in the article he calls them bullets. bullets to be fired and cannot miss. He is at least positive and does not have such a grudge to grind as Arace.
